Margaret Wiladene “Dene” Britt , age 83, passed away on March 9th, 2013, leaving her husband, Dorsey Britt; daughter and son-in-law, Vivian and Jim Fowler; son and daughter-in-law, Ken and Kathy Compton; granddaughters, Erin and Amy Compton; brother, Louis Charles Crowe. She was a long time member of Brookhaven UMC where she served many years in United Methodist Women. Before her illness she was active in Eastern Star and served as Worthy Matron. While she worked at many jobs in her lifetime, her favorite was tending to the children at New Generations St. Joseph’s Childcare on Old Johnson Ferry. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6 to 8 at H. M. Patterson & Son Oglethorpe Hill Chapel. The funeral service will be Tuesday March 12 at 1 PM at Brookhaven United Methodist Church with Reverend Sara Webb Phillips and Reverend Don Shannon officiating. Interment Crestlawn Memorial Park at 2:30 PM. Arrangements under the direction of H.M. Patterson & Son-Oglethorpe Hill Chapel, Atlanta, GA.
