Bonnie was a faithful Christian who loved the Lord with all her heart and raised her children in the church. She was the organist at Walnut Park Baptist Church for over 20 years.
Bonnie was a 1968 graduate of Emma Sansom High School where she played in the band. She was an activities director at several nursing homes over her professional career. Her youthful nature and her love for playing games and camaraderie made a difference in so many of her residents' lives.
Bonnie's ability to love her family was boundless and incredible. Her memory for her family members through multiple generations was simply amazing. She was truly the family matriarchal historian.
Bonnie was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She went to every game, recital, graduation, whatever the event might be to support her babies. She was Mawmaw Brasher to all our extended friends and family. She loved and supported them like her own.
As an avid Alabama fan, she never missed watching a game. She even insisted on being released from the hospital to get home to watch the 2019 Iron Bowl. ROLL TIDE!
"We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord." Amen
