Brenda Sue Rogers

A Memorial service will be held in her honor at 11:30 A.M. on Saturday February 17, 2018 at Chandler Mountain Baptist Church.

The family will receive friends for visitation at the church on Saturday from 10 A.M. to 11:30 A.M.

Bro. Larry Mann and Bro. Ronald Rogers will officiate.

Interment will follow in the adjoining cemetery.

She is survived by her parents, Hoover Curtis and Laura Lynell “Nell” Rogers.

Sister in law, Tina Rogers

Nephews, Sean Rogers, Chaz Rogers, and a score of aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and neighbors.

Those preceding her in death include her brother, Curtis Hoover Rogers; grandparents, V.S. and Ella Rogers and Otto and Jay Ragsdale.

Brenda was a 1974 graduate of Emma Sansom High School and a graduate of Athens State University where she earned her Masters degree. Brenda worked many years at Huntsville Optical Practice for Dr. S. Moorman and later on worked at the UAB Eye Clinic. She was a longtime member of Chandler Mountain Baptist Church, a very talented person and greatly enjoyed her work. Brenda will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to Curtistine Beard Parrish for the loving care and support. Thanks are also extended to Uncle and Aunt, Lee and Mary Gilliland for your love and constant prayers. Many thanks are also extended to the nurses, doctors and staff on Third Floor ICU at Riverview Regional Medical Center- for the outstanding care you have shown to our beloved Brenda. We love you forever!
