Carolyn Clay Foster

Carolyn Clay Foster, age 90, of Attalla, went to be with her Heavenly Father on August 10, 2024. After her declining health, she passed peacefully in her Attalla home. Carolyn was a lifelong resident of Etowah County.

She had a career at Bell South, DHR and then went on to substitute teach in area schools. She also did volunteer work for United Way . She was an active member of several area churches until her declining health. Carolyn Clay Foster will be truly missed by family and friends.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her father, John Molicia Clay; mother, Nellie Ophelia Strickland; and daughter, Kathy Perry Hollis.

Carolyn is survived by her sons, Ronald L. Perry (Judy), and Jeremy C. Foster; sister, Joan McDonald; grandchildren, Leslie D. Perry, Jonathan L. Perry (Amber), and Mandy Randall Thompson (James); and great-grandchildren, Jacob and Dylan Perry, Braxton Randall, Auburn and Jagger Perry, and Haley Perry.

Pallbearers will be members of the family

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Carolyn's honor to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital @ www.stjude.org.

A visitation will be held at Morgan Funeral Chapel from 12:30pm to 1:30pm. A graveside will follow at Rainbow Memorial Gardens at 1:45pm.
