

Clyde Junior Day passed away Sunday August 10th, 2025 at his residence in Southside. He was 84. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Morgan Funeral Chapel on Saturday August 16th and a memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM at Morgan Funeral Chapel at 2:00 PM on Saturday August 16th.
Clyde was a graduate of Etowah High School and Gadsden Technical College where he learned the trades of printing and welding which set him up for a successful career as a printer at Frost Printing and Gadsden Printing. He spent 30+ years serving his country with pride in the US Army National Guard and reserve until his retirement. He also enjoyed his time working at Safeway Industrial Services. His hobbies included beekeeping, hunting, fishing, gold prospecting and he was also a collector of novelties. He was also and active member of Southside United Methodist Church and especially enjoyed helping with the kitchen crew. Above all else he cherished spending time with family and friends.
Clyde is preceded in death by his parents, Curtis Day and Fannie Lemons Day and his siblings.
Clyde is survived by his wife of 62 year, Carolyn Walden Day; children: John (Doris) Day, Melissa (Lance) Smith, Nicole (Tony) Gray, Jason (Emily) Day; 10 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; sister: Joyce Caver and sister-in-law: Margaret Day.
Honorary Pallbearers will be the 310 Chemical Unit.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Etowah County Cancer Foundation, Prohealth Hospice or charity of your choice.
