

Eddie Stewart, 78 of Riddles Bend, passed away Thursday, October 19, 2023. He was born on May 8, 1945 in Huntsville, Alabama. He lived with his wife of 53 years Jacque Lynn Spurlock in Attalla and then later in Riddles Bend on the river. He had 3 children Melissa Mckee, Chad Stewart, and Todd Stewart. He was a loving grandfather to Tyler Farris, Lauren Mckee, and Morgan Hood. He graduated from Madison Academy and Snead State. He also attended Auburn University.
He was an avid duck hunter, fishermen, and outdoorsman. He loved farming, gardening, and tending to all his animals. Eddie along with his wife were owners of the Supreme Auto Parts and later Kelly and Spurlock Auto Parts. He loved to talk to anyone at any time. He liked to go to his children and grandchildren’s activities. He was a hardworking man who looked forward to his hunting trips with his friends. He started each day with a coffee and a Little Debbie mini pecan pie. All who knew him held him in the highest esteem. His character was as good as gold. All people knew that if Eddie Stewart said so, it was so. He left behind a remarkable legacy.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Jacque Lynn Spurlock; His parents, Delma Ethridge, Eddie Sr., William Stewart, and Megan Lynn Mckee.
He is survived by Melissa Mckee, Chad Stewart, and Todd ( karla) Stewart, Tyler Farris, Lauren Mckee, and Morgan Hood, Brenda Elliott, Chris Johnson, Kathy (Pete) Adams, Christy (Johnny) Johnson, Carol (Bob) Long, Robbie (Teresa) Stewart, numerous cousins, and nieces and nephews.
The Funeral will be held on Sunday October 22 at Morgan Funeral Chapel. Reverend Kenneth Jacobs will officiate. Visitation will be from 2 to 3 and burial at Williams Southside Memorial.
Pallbearers will be Shane Haygood, Kenneth Clem, Chad Pruett, Johnny Jonakin, Tyler Farris, and Todd Stewart.
Honorary Pallbearers will be the Attalla Duck Hunters Club.
Special thanks to Selena, Ashley, and Ayden for helping care for him in his last days. We want to thank all his numerous customers and business associates for many years of supporting his business. Also special thanks to all his hunting buddies for many years of memories and laughter.
