

Jack Samuel Peterson, 69, of Rainbow City, passed away Sunday, February 20, 2022. Visitation will be held at Morgan Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 22, 2022, from 5:00 - 7:00. The funeral will be held Wednesday, February 23, 2022 at noon, with family receiving friends from 11:00 - 12:00.
Jack was born March 18, 1952. He went to Southside High School and was a member of the National Guard. Jack spent the majority of his life’s work as an over the road truck driver and heavy equipment operator. He was an avid Alabama fan and he loved fishing. Jack was an excellent cook and he loved to garden.
Jack was preceded in death by his wife, Rhena; daughter, Kaylee Ashton; father, Oliver Peterson; mother, Louise Peterson; brother, Thomas Peterson, and infant sister Nell Peterson. Jack is survived by his sons Cody and Colton (Jessica) Peterson; sister Anita (Eddie) Hill, and brother Ray (Janice) Peterson, along with a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Pallbearers will be Mason Caldwell, Ben Caldwell, Gerald Williams, Don Colvin, Hubert Colvin, Ken McBurnett, Galen Hill, and Cary Hill. Burial to follow at Hopewell Cemetery.
Flowers will be accepted, or donations may be made to the charity of your choice in honor of Jack.
