James loved old cars, fishing, boating, and spending time with his family. He was an engineer in the United States Army. James was a very hard working man. He was a mechanic that could fix anything and loved doing it. His passion for fixing things lead him to open his own Bike Shop in Panama City Beach. He also cherished his grandkids and the time he got to spend with them.
James is preceded in death by his mother, Ovalee Perkins Gerhardt and Lowell Perkins; and his grandson, Kade Perkins.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda Perkins; father, Frank (Ella) Gerhardt; children, Sonya Perkins (Gaston)Phares; Bryon (Kristy) Perkins, Steven Perkins (Marissa), Jana Roper, Barry (LeeAnn) Crowley; grandkids, Destiny, Bella, and Landon.
