Mrs. Potter passed away on Friday, May 13, 2022 at her home. Born in West Virginia, she graduated from Big Creek High school in War, West Virginia, before moving to Alabama for the last 23 years. She worked for over 30 years in nursing, and was a certified phlebotomist, dialysis nurse and certified nursing assistant. Mrs. Potter was very family oriented and was very involved in all of her family functions. She loved her dog, her family, especially her grandchildren, and they were the center of her world. Mrs. Potter was a hard worker; when she wasn’t working she enjoyed piddling with her flowers and doing anything she could outdoors. Mrs. Potter was attending Cathedral of Praise Church of God.
She is survived by her children, Joseph Hankins of Gadsden and Brittany Workman of Southside, four grandchildren, Kirsten Workman, Braelyn Workman, Victoria “Tori” Martin and Sabella “Bella” Hankins, her sister, Becky Crawford (J.B.) of Gadsden, two brothers, Earl Blair (Sharon) and Chris Baker, both of Gadsden, her special friend, Chris Kelly of Gadsden, a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl H. and Bertha Dawson Baker, and her brother, Steve Stillwell.
