

Visitation will be held from 2 until 4pm Thursday, May 30, 2024 at Morgan Funeral Chapel.
Jesse served in the United States Army. He served his community as Police Chief in Reece City and Sgt. for the Fort Payne Police Department. Jesse was a minister and youth Pastor and a servant of Jesus Christ. His heart belonged to Jesus Christ and his love for his wife and his family was his main life goal.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Beatrice Helms Barton; father, James Barton; brother, Terry Barton; grandson, Kane Mullins.
He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Frances Barton; daughters, Jenean Battles, Vicky (Steve) Mullins; son, Jesse Wayne Barton, Jr. (Sandra); grandchildren, Joshua Battles, Valerie (Kyle) Roberts, Rachel (Joey) Farrante, Brad Mullins, Chassidy Taylor, Erick (Michele) Taylor, Bobby Mullins; great grandchildren, Jacob Taylor, Melody, Summer, Lucy, Will Roberts, Kayden, Isabella, Ryleigh Mullins, Karson Taylor and Sophia Ferrante; sister, Darlene (Bobby) Driskell, Barbara, Jamie Barton and brother, Gary Barton; four loving brothers in love, James George, Joseph McDuffie and Sidney McDuffie; sister in love, Laura McBurnett, Becky Spinks, Melissa McDuffie, Audrey Nelson; many loving nieces and nephews.
