Services for Johnny L. Phillips who passed away on Sunday, June 27, 2021 will be at Morgan Funeral Chapel on Friday, July 2, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Rainbow Memorial Gardens. Morgan Funeral Chapel directing.
Johnny spent his early years living in Rainbow City and attended John Jones Elementary School. He later went to Etowah High School and played on the football team. He was a heavy machine operator and worked in the construction industry. He loved to hunt and fish until his health prevented it, then he enjoyed taking pictures and videoing wildlife. He loved being in the woods.
He was preceded in death by his parents: J.L. and Freddie Goodwin Phillips; sister, Susan Diane Phillips and brother, Travis Phillips.
Survived by his siblings: Steve (Linda) Phillips, Jackie Phillips Croft and Paul Phillips; son, Matthew Phillips; daughter, Meegan Phillips Fussell and a host of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be on Friday, July 2, 2021 at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.
