

Funeral for Joshua Mark Fowler, 31, Gallant, will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at the First Baptist Church of Gallant with Bro. Tom Brown officiating. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery.Josh loved to fish, and he loved having a garden. He loved his dogs Levi, Lynyrd and Sadie. He will be forever missed. Josh had the most tender and compassionate heart. Gone but never forgotten.Joshua went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 25, 2017. He had two knee surgeries in January and never could recover. He fought a hard battle with the infection. He died from a pulmonary embolism. He is survived by his parents, Ralph and Norma Williams and Ronald and Barbie Fowler. He leaves behind his brother, Jonathon Williams. Josh loved Jonathon and was so proud of him and Savannah Watkins, his soon-to-be sister-in-law. Josh leaves behind his best friend, Taja Hughley.Josh is survived by his grandmothers, Shirley Allen and Doris Hall; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Josh moved to Gallant in September 2016. This is where he found healing and peace. He loved his church family at First Baptist Church of Gallant, and he loved the community.Pallbearers will be family and friends.Honorary pallbearers will be the residents and staff of The Meadows Assisted Living in Rainbow City.Visitation will be from 2 to 3 p.m. Wednesday, March 29, 2017, at the church.Morgan Funeral Home directing.
