

Kenny was raised in Etowah County and was employed by Republic Steel/Gulf State Steel for 35 years. He was an artist, a train enthusiast, a collector, and an avid Alabama Football fan. He loved to travel and explore new sights. He never met a stranger. He loved animals and frequently adopted animals who had no home. He loved life, and most of all he loved his family.
Kenny was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Edna Brooks.
He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Mary Phyllis Brooks; son, Keith Brooks; daughter, Kathy DiLorenzo (Vince); stepson, Robert Bradley Klingenbeck (Lea) and Todd Klingenbeck; granddaughters, Kendal Brooks, Halie Hepburn, Sydney DiLorenzo, Shelby DiLorenzo, Kassidy DiLorenzo, and Anna Claire Klingenbeck; and one brother, Westley Brooks.
