Linda Wilson Simmons 72 of Rainbow City passed away December 26, 2020. Funeral Service will be at 11a.m. Wednesday, December 30, 2020 with Bro. Johnny Fry officiating. Visitation will be from 10 until 11a.m. prior to the service. Burial will be at Union FMC Church Cemetery. (Double Bridges in Boaz)
Linda was a graduate of Walnut Grove High School. She was a longtime member of Harmony Baptist Church where she loved playing the piano and organ for services. She enjoyed sewing and baking for the public. Linda along with her husband, Charles owned and operated Sports and More in Southside for many years. She especially loved any activity involving her beloved grandsons, and traveling with family, especially to Cades Cove in Tennessee.
She was preceded in death by her father, W.C. Wilson; mother, Opal Pettit Wilson; her beloved husband of 51 years, Charles Simmons.
Linda is survived by daughter, Susan Simmons; son, Edward Simmons; grandsons, Caleb, Chris, and T.J. Simmons; cherished sister, Betty Avery (Shelby) and numerous nieces and nephews.
