Lucy Cobb

Mrs. Lucy Cobb passed from this life to join her Lord in Heaven in the early morning hours of October 17, 2018. A funeral service to honor her life will be held at Morgan Funeral Chapel on Saturday, October 20, 2018 at 11 A.M. The family will receive friends for visitation the evening prior, Friday, from 6 to 8 P.M. at the funeral home. Pastor Steve Lucy will serve as officiant. Graveside service and interment will be held at Steele Cemetery. Morgan Funeral Chapel & Crematory directing.

Lucy was a graduate of Ashville High School and a longtime member of Steele Baptist Church. Lucy was happiest at home, spending time on home projects and out working in the sunshine and peaceful green of her property. Known for her warmth and casual hospitality, “Miss Lucy” was loved, and will be missed, by all those who knew her. Those preceding her in death include; her beloved husband, David Logan Cobb; parents, Jon Hugh and Lois Little; sisters, Larue Saxon and Mary Catherine Hammond; and great-niece, Amber Snell.

Lucy is survived by a host of in-laws, nieces, nephews, and other extended family members and friends.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the nurses, doctors and staff of Kindred Hospice as well as many thanks to Oak Landing, including the employees and staff of the memory care unit.
