Martha Ruth Brothers

In the early morning hours on October 27, 2023 our beloved mother and wife was called home by our Heavenly Father. She will be missed dearly by all who loved her. Martha Ruth (Jones) Brothers was born on August 4, 1945 to Mr. and Mrs. Herman Jones in Springville, Alabama. Martha got married to Ronald Brothers on December 4, 1964 they were together for 59 years.

Martha attended Gadsden City night school where she earned her high school diploma. In 1980 Ronald and Martha bought a Farm on Chandler Mountain where they farmed and Martha sold produce at the State Farmers Market where she was on the board for many years. She retired due to illness in 2021.

Martha was a member of Bethlehem Primitive Baptist Church in Gallant. She enjoyed reading books, playing games seek and finds, and putting puzzles together. Mom will be remembered for her tough grit, her enduring nature and her willingness to fight and love.

Martha is survived by her husband, Ronald Brothers of 59 years; her children, Shane (Jan) Brothers, Holly Brothers, Jon (Nikki) Brothers; 13 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Graveside service will be at 2pm Thursday, November 2, 2023 at Bethlehem Primitive Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, November 1, 2023 at Morgan Funeral Chapel from 5 until 7pm.
