Martha Jean Thompson Yates, age 84, of Altoona, Alabama passed away on Sunday, December 25, 2022. A Memorial Service in honor of Mrs. Yates will be held 2 P.M. on Thursday, December 29, 2022 at Morton's Chapel in Altoona, AL. Bro. Gary Campbell to officiate.
Martha was an amazing wife, mother and grandmother who loved her family. She loved the Lord and was filled with the Holy Spirit. She carried His presence with her everywhere she went. She was a faithful member of Morton's Chapel for many years.
Preceded in death by her parents, Hoyt and Mildred Thompson; brothers, John, Will, Dave, and Bob Thompson; son, Russell Yates and grandchildren, Jared Yates and Stormi Morton.
She is survived by her son, Craig Yates; daughter, Nancy (Bobby) Eubanks; grandchildren, Heath (Shannon) Yates, Anita (Brandon) Franklin, Cody Eubanks, Hanna Yates and Kagan (Seth) Brown; niece, Shirley Beasley; 11 great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
