11/5/1941 – 10/25/2023
With heavy hearts and a deep sense of faith, we announce the passing of Patricia Ann Holcombe, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She peacefully left her family on 10/25/2023, surrounded by her loved ones, with her unwavering trust in the Lord.
Born on 11/5/1941 in Attalla, Alabama, Patricia Ann Holcombe (81) was the daughter of Melvin Peerman and Inez Peerman. She is survived by her husband Stanley Holcombe, her 2 children: Stan Holcombe (Anne) and Deana Williams (Jeff), her 3 grandchildren: Tate Holcombe (Megan), Hayden Brunson (Phil) and Sydney Williams (Geoffrey), her great granddaughter Vivian Holcombe, her sister-in-law Theresa Turner, her brother Bobby Peerman and a multitude of other relatives and friends who were blessed to witness her faith-filled journey.
Pat’s life was a testament to her unwavering belief in God's grace and her love for her family. Throughout her life, she exemplified the virtues of love, compassion, and selflessness. Pat spent her life giving instead of taking, going to the back instead of getting to the front, and sacrificing herself for others instead of sacrificing others for herself. Pat was the devoted wife to her husband Stanley. Their 64-year marriage is a testament to their years of selfless dedication to each other. They spent their years together demonstrating a loving relationship by sacrificing for their children, their grandchildren and their great granddaughter. Pat was the ultimate servant leader to all she encountered. Pat was a devoted mother who poured her heart and soul into raising her children with love, patience, and a gentle spirit. She provided a nurturing and supportive environment that allowed her family to flourish and develop the strength of character she so dearly valued. Nana was also a beloved grandmother who cherished spending time with her grandchildren. Her love, wisdom and kindness will forever leave a lasting imprint on their lives.
Pat’s faith was not just a personal conviction but a guiding light that she shared with all who knew her. She was an active member of Cherry Street Baptist Church. Her presence in the church was marked by her incredible devotion to the pre-school little ones in her Sunday school class where she served for over 60 years. Her generosity, volunteering, and her servant leader attitude was a constant presence.
Pallbearers are Nolan Boatner, Roger Boatner, Phil Brunson, Tate Holcombe, Marion Jaggers, Larry Means, Geoffrey Murray, Brandon Peerman, John Smith, and Bo Stark.
