

Born in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, he was the middle child of three siblings born to the late Florian and Jo Ann (Dexter) Lampert.
Bob was a graduate of Wild Rose High School, class of 1973 and attended the University of Wisconsin at Milwaukee. He went on to pursue his passion for engineering and enjoyed a long-lasting career in the oilfield and mining industries. He was a driving force in the development of several borehole navigation systems and oversaw projects spanning the globe. After more than 20 years working for Scientific Drilling, Bob became a consultant where his expertise was sought by multiple downhole navigation firms.
Bob was the dedicated father of Rob and Emily, who were a source of pride and joy for him. He enjoyed spending time with his children, passing on his wisdom and creating lasting memories that will be treasured. He was deeply beloved as a father, brother, uncle, cousin and friend.
An avid fisherman, outdoorsman and a world traveler, in his lifetime he visited over 70 countries on 6 continents, often sharing his love of traveling with both of his children, taking them on trips and sharing experiences. He was a magnetic force, if you were around Bob you were guaranteed to laugh because he always had a great story or a joke for you.
Bob is survived by his two children, Robert C. Lampert of Chattanooga, Tennessee and Emily A. Lampert of Colorado Springs, Colorado. He will be missed by family, friends and colleagues.
A private ceremony to celebrate Bob's life will be held at a later date.
