Tallent was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He loved his Lord and Savior and was a member of Lifechurch Assembly of God Church. While he was in the United States Army, he was an officer in the Quartermaster Corps in Fort Lee, Virginia. He retired from the Social Security Administration after 37 years of service. He was also a member of the Gadsden, and then later, the Rainbow City Lions Club. He had a great passion to help anyone in any capacity needed and volunteered selflessly many hours to doing just that.
He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Randa Baggett; daughters, Kim (Joe) Lansdon, Tammy (Mark) George, and Achsha (Cliff) Cook; grandchildren, Adam (Angie) Lansdon, Megan (Jacob) Tilley, Brendan Wagnon, Kaleigh (Zach) Hyatt, Evan (Hannah) Wagnon, Kristin (Dylan) McMurrey; and four great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Adam Lansdon, Brendan Wagnon, Evan Wagnon, Jacob Tilley, Zach Hyatt, Dylan McMurrey.

Visitation will be at Morgan Funeral Chapel Sunday, May 24, 2020, from 11am-1pm.
