Stephen Charles Prater

It is with great sorrow to announce that our precious, extremely loved baby boy Stephen Charles Prater (Bubba) passed away on Friday, February 18, 2022 at the young age of 28. He blessed not only his family and friends but also the people who knew his life story who love him immensely. He was our true hero in his fight of life here on earth. He loved with a pure heart and his smile lit up our world. God gifted this amazing man to us for almost 29 years. God called him home and he is resting in the precious arms of Jesus.

He is preceded in death by his grandmother, Beulah Patterson; grandfather, Charles Patterson; great grandmother, Jessie (John) Oldham; great grandfather, Charles Cline; aunt, Beverly Rose; aunt, Christie Patterson; aunt, Mary Patterson; and a host of great aunts and uncles and cousins.

He is survived by his mother, Rebekah Patterson; sister, Elyssa (Brett) Barber; sister, Patricia Carden; aunt, Vickie (Rodney) Helms; aunt, Deborah (Kenneth) Bates; uncle, Shane Rose; and a host of great aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Pallbearers will be a host a family members and friends.

A Celebration of Life Service will be at 1p.m. Saturday, February 26, 2022 at the Tabernacle Church at 1301 South 11th St. Gadsden, AL 35904.

Visitation will be prior to the service from 12 until 1p.m. at the church.

Burial will be at Mount Lebanon Cemetery on Chandler Mountain.
