Aurelio (Guello) Angel was born on August 16, 1934, in San Pablo, Municipio Dr Atenguillo, Jalisco, Mexico. He passed away peacefully surrounded by family, after a courageous fight following a spinal chord stroke which left him wheelchair bound for nearly 12 years. He is survived by his wife of 61 years Mary, and his three children, David (Laurie) of Penryn, Chris (Linda) of Loomis, and Julie of Rocklin, brother Roberto, and sister Dolores, Uncle Manuel and Aunt Lupe. His 3 grandchildren, Teisha Angel Phillips (Austin), Christopher Angel, and Mason Angel, and great grandchildren Avery Phillips and Riley Phillips, and numerous nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. He is preceded in death by his brothers, Leoncio and Juan.
For 38 years Guello worked in the lumber industry at Cal Ida lumber mill in Auburn
and Sunset (Morrison) Building Materials in Rocklin.
He loved life, his family and friends. He always had a helping hand outstretched to anyone in need, his generosity knew no bounds. He gave his children an example to live their life with honesty hard work and humor. His hobbies were fishing, gardening, hunting, and being surrounded by family and friends.
Guello will be dearly missed but his legacy lives on in each of us.
Family and friends are invited to recitation of the Rosary on Tuesday, June 18th at 7 pm at Chapel of the Hills, 1331 Lincoln Way, Auburn, CA. Funeral services on June 19th at 11:30 at Saint Joseph's Church, 1162 Lincoln Way, Auburn, CA. Burial to follow at 1:00 at Newcastle Cemetery.
