Eastern North Dakota where he lived on a farm with his parents, eleven brothers, and one sister. Upon graduation of high school, he served with distinction
in the United States Navy from 1952 to 1956 including tours of Korea and Vietnam. He married his wife, Denise Fischer, on August 6th, 1955. After
graduating from college, Harvey accepted a job with Martin Marietta in Denver, Colorado. He later moved his family to California where he opened his own
Electrical Contracting company, Fischer Electric, and the business survives today.
He leaves his wife of 60 years, Denise; two sons, Tim and Scott; a daughter, Nancy; and six grandchildren, Justin, Lindy, Jackie, Megan, Sam and Jordan.
He also leaves two great grandchildren, Emily and Ryan, who brought a smile to his face even in his final days. He was blessed with a large family of nieces and nephews, along with his surviving brothers, who will miss him dearly.
