Joe "Russ" Evans passed away peacefully at home with family present. Russ was born in Oakland, but grew up in Sacramento and attended Gran Union High School. He married his high school sweetheart in 1945 and they had one daughter and three sons. Russ retired as a Senior Vice President of McKesson Corp. He was an active parent in his children's activities. In retirement he was an avid golfer and involved in community organizations.
He is survived by his sons Joseph, James, John, his daughter Sheryl Hamilton and 7 grandchildren/4 great grandchildren.
Place of interment will be at the Masonic Lawn Cemetery at a later date.
