Joe was one of six children; four brothers and one sister. He grew up in Mountain View.
He lived through the depression so times were hard. He worked as a teamster in San Francisco.
He was a World War II veteran. He married Carmen Romero on January 31, 1942 in Reno, Nevada.
They were married 70 years. He was an outdoorsman. He loved to camp, hunt and fish. He liked to play cards and bingo. He was a kind-hearted man and made a friend of everyone he met.
He was a loving husband, dad, grandpa and great-grandpa.
A visitation will be held on Monday, Sept. 17, 2012 from 5 to 7pm at Chapel of the Hills. Funeral services will be Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2012 at 12:00pm at St. Teresa of Avila. Interment to follow at the New Auburn Cemetery.
