Leighton Yarnell Poole

Leighton (Bubby) Poole 59, was born January 4, 1957 to Nelson E. Poole and Barbara Poole Clark in Willows, Ca. Leigh passed away peacefully Friday February 26, after a brief illness at the Sutter Auburn Faith Hospital in Auburn.

Leighton moved to Auburn with his family at the age of four years old and was a lifelong Auburn resident attending local schools, Lincoln Way, E.V. Cain and Placer High. He was a member of Placer High School’s Class of 1974. He was active in local sports during his youth and enjoyed outdoor activities, especially fishing, hunting and country drives. He worked in the construction trades and as a self-employed landscaper.

Leighton is survived by his loving mother Barbara Clark, sisters Kathryn Poole (Michael), Kristy Lindquist (Mark) all of Auburn. Also surviving Leighton are nephews Stephen Lindquist and Benjamin Schlichting and nieces Johanna Everett, Mary Mordhorst, Rachel Cinta, and many great nephews and nieces.

Funeral services will be held on Friday March 4 at 11a.m. at The Chapel of the Hills located at 1331 Lincoln Way in Auburn, and a graveside service and interment at the New Auburn Cemetery following at 1p.m.
