

Born on May 16, 1934 in Carroll Iowa, Marlene was the daughter of Elmer and Theresa (Daiker) Snook.
Proud graduate of Carroll HS, she worked as a clerk at the local drug store. She met and married Tom Main of Lanesboro Iowa, and they eventually made their way to California and raised their children in Fair Oaks.
She spent her later years as a "snowbird" traveling to Arizona in their motor home in the winter months. They moved to Oregon in 2001 and continued to travel until Tom's untimely death in 2010.
In 2011, she moved back to California to be close to her children. She became an active member of the Pioneer United Methodist Church in Auburn and had an active social life joining the local widows club.
She is remembered for her tenacity, her love of family, her love of dogs, and her immense generosity.
She is preceded in death by her husband Tom, her son David, and her siblings Dorothy, Marian, Marvin, and Raymond.
She is survived by her daughter Alicia Reed, and sister Sarah Schettler.
