

Roberta “Bobbie” Diane White passed away suddenly on October 29, 2024. She was born at Fort Knox Kentucky on March 14, 1949. Her parents were Roble Dungleson Evens and Edyth Mae Evens. She is survived by her husband Joseph, her adopted daughter Tara Lyn Springer, her grandaughter Aria Springer, and her stepson Forest Francis White.
She spent her early years traveling around the country until her father retired as a US Army Colonel in 1959. Her family settled in Sonoma County where she eventually met and married Joseph in 1989. They moved to the Georgetown Divide in 1991.
From the age of 14, she was a professional horse trainer and riding instructor. Later, she became a Certified Horse Abuse Investigator and assisted El Dorado County Animal Control in horse abuse investigations.
In 1997 she brought the “Every 15 Minutes” drunk driving program for teens to Golden Sierra High School. The program has become a standard for all El Dorado County High Schools.
A celebration of life will be held at the Pilot Hill Grange 1701 Hwy CA-193, Cool California from 10 AM to Noon on January 18, 2025.
In remembrance, her family would appreciate donations in her name to the International Fund For Animal Welfare.
