He was born March 14, 1952, at home in Foresthill, to Edward and Joan Hinkley.
For most of his adult life he worked in the lumber industry, Georgia Pacific in Foresthill and retiring from Lausman's in Loomis. He did take a walk about in his twenties to Alaska and Hawaii doing piece work here and there.
He was an avid Disc Golf player until his health would no longer allow him to walk the course. He loved going out to breakfast with family and friends. His heart was huge although he liked to pretend, he was a grumpy old man especially to his grandkids.
He was predeceased by his parents, brothers Allen and Michael (Mike) Hinkley.
He is survived by his children Angela Deering, Amanda Ertman and Wesley Hinkley, 9 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister Cindy Borg, several other family members and friends.
A celebration of life will take place at a later time.
