Barbara Phyllis Bluhm, 91, of Troy, Michigan passed away Saturday, September 26, 2020. She was born on December 4, 1928 in Linton, Indiana to Clarence and Helen Goodwin. She is preceded in death by her husband Dr. Gilbert Bluhm and survived by four daughters: Brenda, Diane, Teresa, and Denise; 3 grandchildren: Christopher, Susan, and Sarah, and two great-grandchildren, Gabrielle and Ryan. Barbara is a graduate of Indiana University where she received her B.S. Degree in Medical Technology and completed an internship at I.U. Medical campus in Indianapolis, Indiana. Following graduation, she focused on raising four daughters, but later resumed her career and retired as the Supervisor for the Oakland County Health Department Laboratory where she worked for 12 years. She was active in her community serving as President of the Wayne County Medical Society Women’s auxiliary, and an active member of the Church singing in the choir as well as serving on various committees. Barbara enjoyed playing golf, traveling with her husband and their friends, as well as a love for cats. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
