

Chris had a smile that would light up a room. He enjoyed cooking, shooting pool, watching Netflix and learning to line dance. His laughter was contagious and no matter what he was doing, he was always having a good time.
In his youth he played football and was a champion Speed Skater. After graduating from Bloomfield Lahser, he traveled to Colorado joining the US Freestyle Ski Team being one of only four chosen from Pine Knob Ski group. Before moving into the Pro Circuit where he held a championship and competed in 8 world cup appearances.
Chris moved back to Michigan starting his own window cleaning company, Rocky Mountain Services, that he ran for over 25 years, before finally settling into his happy job at Western Oakland Transportation Authority where he was adored by his coworkers.
Chris absolutely loved his dogs, often joking about them being his "Biological Doggers." If he wasn't home playing and snuggling with them, he was showing off pictures to anyone who'd look.
Chris is survived by his wife Crystal, stepchildren Daniel and Emily, grandson Emmett, mother Mary Raymond, sisters Deanna Losh and Sandra Dropps, his dog Fancy and many nieces and nephews.
Chris was preceded in death by his father Daniel J. Dropps Sr., brother Daniel J. Dropps Jr., and his dogs Angel and Cleo.
Visitation will be held at Pixley Funeral Home, 3530 Auburn Road, Auburn Hills, Michigan, on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, from 3:00pm to 8:00pm, and again on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, from 10:00am to 12:00pm.

Chris will be laid to rest at Ottawa Park Cemetery in the Village of Clarkston, Michigan.
