Diane was born the daughter of Earl and Mabelle (Mohr) Edmiston on June 22, 1932, in Detroit, Michigan. She graduated from Denby High School in Detroit, class of 1950 and took classes at Wayne State University. Diane married Roger Dingman at Charity Lutheran Church in Detroit, and they raised their family in East Detroit. Diane worked for a time at Campbell Ewald and later served in multiple agencies to help children with disabilities. Diane was instrumental in forming the Michigan Association for Children with Learning Disabilities. She was president of the Homeowners Association for the Meadowbrook Condo’s as well.
Diane loved to travel with Roger, completing an incredible 35 cruises together around the world.
Diane was predeceased by her devoted husband of nearly 70 years, Roger; She is survived by her sons Scott Dingman, Steve (Sandi) Dingman, and Wayne Dingman; her cherished grandchildren Amanda, Christopher, and Rachel; her treasured great-grandchildren Parker, McKenna, Chase, Caleb, and Nolan; and many nieces and nephews. Diane was predeceased also by her parents, and brother Lee Edmiston.
Visitation will be on Monday March 2, 2026, from 1-4pm at Pixley Funeral Home, located at 3530 Auburn Rd, in downtown Auburn Hills, Michigan. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday March 3, 2026, at 11am (10am instate) at Crown of Life Lutheran Church, located at 2975 Dutton Road in Rochester Hills, Michigan.
