James was a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He is survived by his beloved wife, Bobbie Jean Sandling Dorminy.
He leaves behind his children: Kenneth D. Dorminy of North Carolina, Timothy L. Dorminy of Florida, Cynthia A. Dorminy Blake of Georgia, and Tammy M. Tripp of Georgia.
James was a grandfather to Gary Lee Farrell of Kentucky, Brandi Long of Michigan, Patrick Dorminy of Florida, Melanie Sarafian of Florida, Austin Dorminy of Florida, Madeline Dorminy of Florida, Rikki Blake of Pennsylvania, Mary Blake of Tennessee, Alissa Harland of Florida, and Destiny Dorminy of North Carolina. He was also blessed with 11 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Roberta and Luther Dorminy; his sister, Jetie Mae Dorminy Moser; his son, James F. Dorminy Jr.; his daughter, Dorothy Moore; and his grandson, James D. Dorminy.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
