Linda Mary (Aldrich/Regiec) Holland, age 77, of Bloomfield Hills, Michigan passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 20, 2025. Linda was born in Detroit, Michigan on August 5, 1947 to the late James and Shirley Aldrich.
Growing up Linda spent many enjoyable hours reading books and going with her parents, grandparents, and loved ones to their family cottage in Brighton. Linda started her professional career as an air stewardess on flights transporting soldiers in the military during the Vietnam crisis. She then worked in New York City in advertising and later assumed a position with the legal division of the Hanover Group as a paralegal specializing in Environmental claims.
Linda was an avid reader and got involved in many book clubs throughout her life, and later was driven to share her passion by working as a Literacy Teacher for the Oakland Literacy Council. Linda also served her community as an elected district delegate and was a member of the Birmingham/Bloomfield Hills Woman's Republican Party.
At home, Linda was a master in the kitchen who enjoyed hosting and cooking meals for her family and friends. When it was time to unwind, she enjoyed long walks, knitting, swimming at the pool or spending time at the ocean. As a woman of faith, she belonged to the St. Thomas More Catholic Church for many years.
Linda is survived by her loving husband of seventeen years, Fred Holland; her daughter Cristina Mendez (Terry); and her grandchildren Kendra Mendez-Kema, Terry Jr. Mendez-Kema, Kayla Mendez-Kema, Khloe Mendez-Kema and her stepson Kevin M. Holland. Linda was predeceased by her husband Kenneth A. Regiec.
Her absence will be keenly felt by her family and friends, whom she loved more than anything. They take comfort in knowing she is safe in the arms of the Lord.
Fred and the family would like to extend their deepest appreciation and thank hospice for their exceptional care and compassion. A memorial service for family and friends will be announced at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial contribution can be made to the Oakland Literacy Council.
