Patricia was born the daughter of Colin and Caroline (Gray) Moffatt in Detroit, Michigan. She graduated from McKenzie High School, class of 1954. Patricia married Richard Vaughn on September 29, 1962, at St. Suzanne Catholic Church in Detroit. Patricia and Richard raised their family in Farmington Hills and were members of St. Fabian Catholic Church.
Patricia was a dedicated mother who loved her family and adored her grandchildren. She cherished staying connected with friends and family, often sending cards and letters to remind them of her love and care. In younger years, she loved visiting her beloved Canadian family each summer in Toronto and vacationing up north in Michigan. Patricia was fond of her Red Hat Ladies, friends from her high school days. She enjoyed baking her signature lemon squares and apple pies along with gardening and creating holiday ceramics. Patricia was an honorary Michigan State Spartan in spirit, regularly cheering on their teams with her family.
Patricia was preceded in death in 2016 by her beloved husband of 54 years, Richard. Loving mother of Linda (Brad) Wojtowicz, Steven (Sue) Vaughn and Kevin (Whitney) Vaughn; grandmother to Christine, Lauren, Sarah, Kaydon, and Emersyn; great-grandchild Ryder.
Brother to Douglas (Polly) Moffatt and aunt to many nieces and nephews. Patricia was predeceased by her parents; great-grandchild Brayden; and dear sister Eleanor (Kenneth) Schmitz.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, February 5, 2026, from 3-7pm at Pixley Funeral Home in Auburn Hills, located at 3530 Auburn Road in Auburn Hills, Michigan. The Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, February 6, 2026, at 11am (10:30 instate) at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, located at 3400 South Adams Road in Auburn Hills, Michigan. Interment will be private at Glen Eden Cemetery.
