Mrs. Sandra Lee Blomquist-Collins

BLOMQUIST – COLLINS, Sandra Lee, age 51, of Auburn Hills, died Thursday, February 19, 2015, at St. Joseph Mercy – Oakland Hospital in Pontiac, after a brief illness. She was born January 25, 1964, in Grosse Pointe Farms, Michigan to the late Kenneth Lee Gore and the late Carol Elizabeth (Lyons) Gore. An educator, she went on to Oakland University where she attained her Bachelor’s of Education degree and her Master’s degree in Counseling. On July 19, 2012, she became the wife of Michael William Collins who survives her. Mother of Caitlyn Blomquist and Daniel Blomquist. Step-mother of Nathaniel Collins, Crystal Collins and Abigail Collins. Step-grandmother of Nathaniel Collins, Jr., James McCurdy, Jacob Trimner, Gwendolyn Collins, Kelcie Kirsch, Sebastian Collins and Aiden Schobert. Sister of Sharon Carnes. Step-daughter of Suzanne (the late Kenneth) Gore. Daughter- in- law of William and Dorothy Collins. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, February 24th at 11:00 a.m. at Woodside Bible Church, 6600 Rochester Road in Troy, the Rev. Vince Messina, officiating. Interment will follow in White Chapel Cemetery. Sandra’s family will receive friends on Monday, February 23rd, at PIXLEY FUNERAL HOME, 3530 Auburn Road in Auburn Hills from 4:00 p.m until 9:00 p.m. and again on Tuesday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Sandra’s name may be made to the American Red Cross and envelopes will be available at the funeral home and at the church.
