
Viola Marie Hager, age 73, of Michigan, passed away peacefully on October 23rd, 2025. Born on February 10th, 1952, in Pontiac, Michigan, to Winnifred and James Hall. She lived a life full of love and family. She is preceded in death by her husband, Gordan M Hager Jr, with whom she shared 38 years. She is preceded as well by her parents and her brother, William Hall.
Viola had a passion for anything Elvis Presley, from calendars and magazines to vinyl records and movies. Her hobbies included puzzles and word-searching. She kept flowers, enjoyed gardening, and flora. Always a people person, she made friends easily and had a multitude of stories to tell.
She was well known for her adoration for her grandchildren and consistently caring attitude.
She is survived by her caring children: Dawn Cooper, Gordon Hager, and Heidi Sumner. Her legacy continues through her cherished grandchildren: Jamie Hager, Jordan and Joshua Cooper, and Laura and Matthew Sumner. Her siblings also survive her: Betty Clark (sister), James (Butch) Hall (brother).
Visitation for the family begins at 8:30 a.m. and opens to the public at 9:00 a.m. at Pixley Funeral Home (3530 Auburn Rd, Auburn Hills, MI 48326). Funeral service will be from 10-11 a.m., also held at Pixley Funeral Home. Burial will take place at the Great Lakes National Cemetery (4200 Belford Rd, Holly, MI 48442) at 12:30 p.m., where she will be laid to rest with her husband.
