Virginia Ruth Edwards

Virginia Ruth Edwards passed away peacefully in January 2026, at the age of 68. "Ginny" was born in December 1957 to H. Charles Edwards and Doris "Rockie" Edwards in Detroit Michigan. She graduated from Cody High School and went on to spend some time at Eastern Michigan University before moving into the world of work. Although never married, she shared many years together with her partner, Ron Waters. They shared homes together in Garden City and later Farmington Hills. Ginny loved all the animals of the world. Her home was always welcome to cats, who she nurtured and fed. But her most beloved pet was her dog, Scooby Doo, to whom she was devoted. Ginny was a kind and generous soul, who befriended everyone she met along the way. Ginny was predeceased by her parents, her partner Ron, and her beloved Scooby Doo. She is survived by her three brothers Dan Edwards (Debra), John Edwards (Niki) and Scott Edwards (Mari), many nieces and nephews, and cousins. The family is grateful for the wonderful and loving care she received at Villa at Green Lake Estates in the last years of her life, when her medical condition incapacitated her. A small intimate family gathering will take place at Roseland

Park Cemetery In Berkley, Ml, where she will be interred next to her parents. A Celebration of Life will take place for family later in February.
