Vaughn Jay Gordon

Vaughn “Jay” Gordon passed away on May 23, 2015 in Des Moines, WA at the age of 90. He was born in Wessington, SD on Dec 4, 1924. Jay served in the US Army during WWII in the Philippines. In 1946, he started Gordon Fast Freight running a semi-truck with his brother. In 1971, He married Irene and they blended both of their families of 4 children each. Jay sold Gordon Fast Freight to his son in 1982, and enjoyed his retirement years with Irene. They spent many years travelling the world and exploring the states in their RV, and had been members of several RV clubs through the years. Jay was an active member of the community, Messiah Lutheran Church, and the Meridian Valley Country Club. The memorial service for Jay will be held on Fri, June 12 at 11 AM at Messiah Lutheran Church in Auburn. A private family urn committal will be held at Tahoma National Cemetery.
