Ann (Duchacek) Harter of Winter Haven passed away peacefully on Oct. 31, 2015. Ann was born June 5, 1906 in Czechoslovakia and came to America at age seven. Her family settled in Patterson, NJ. Later, Ann worked as a warper in a silk mill. She was married for 66 years. Her husband, Charles died in 1994. Ann lived in Winter Haven for 40 years until her death.
Ann is survived by her nieces, Marilyn Turco and Sophie Ogg, a nephew, Frank Duchacek, and her friends, Alexander Landi, Sister James Xavier, SSJ, Richard White, and Bob and Pat Smith.
A visitation will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church chapel in Winter Haven on Wednesday, Nov. 4th, at 9 am followed by a funeral mass at 10. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Cornerstone hospice or St. Joseph Catholic Church.
