Mrs. Cora L. Carruth, 71, of Lake Wales, passed away on June 7th, 2015. She was born in Fitzgerald, Georgia and moved to this area 60 years ago from Cleveland, Tennessee. She had worked as a pressure mold operator and was a member of Westwood Missionary Baptist Church.
Mrs. Carruth was preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Marie Stamey. She is survived by her husband, J.R. Carruth, children, Frank (Becky) McCormick, of Winter Haven, Debbie Scott, of Bartow, Tim Carruth, and Roy Carruth, both of Lake Wales, brother, Linard Stamey, of Sorrento, sisters, Dale Campbell, of Steele, Miss, Edna Smith and Elizabeth Blakely, both of Winter Haven, twenty-one grandchildren, and twenty-one great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, June 11th, from 10 to 11 am, and a funeral service will follow at 11 am. Both will be held at Ott-Laughlin Funeral Home in Auburndale, FL.
