Joanna Juanita Perlewitz

Joanna was a devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and friend who dedicated her life to helping others. She was a cherished member of her church’s caring ministry and spent countless hours supporting those in need. Born and raised in Wisconsin, she later moved to Florida, where she lovingly cared for her late husband Richard for many years. Her selflessness, warmth, and nurturing spirit touched the lives of all who knew her. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered for the love and care she gave to her family and community.

Joanna was preceded in death by her loving husband of 53 years Richard Perlewitz. She was also preceded in death by her parents Otto and Ida Walder, her brother Ben Walder and sister Lillian Fehrman.

Joanna is survived by her children Jeff Perlewitz (Suzi) of Appleton, WI and Tim Perlewitz (Sandy) of Lakeland, FL, as well as grandchildren Jeff Perlewitz Jr. (Raquel) of Appleton, WI, Joseph Perlewitz of Neenah, WI, Jason Perlewitz (Katrina) of Issaquah, WA, Jami Lewis (Nick) of Bordentown, NJ, Leigha Perlewitz (Brian Faulkner) of Neenah, WI, Luke Hassell of Menasha, WI, Sarah Powers (Brent) of Lakeland, FL, and Naomi Ostberg (Luke) of Branford, FL, as well as 16 great grandchildren.

Special thanks to everyone at Savannah Cottage of Lakeland and VITAS Healthcare for their compassionate and wonderful care in her final stage of life. We are forever grateful.

A celebration of life will be held at 11:00 AM March 29th at Pinelawn Memorial Park in Milwaukee, WI.
