Kenneth James Alfredson, 72, of Winter Haven, Florida passed away on August 5, 2023 in Winter Haven. He was born on December 16, 1950 in Libertyville, Illinois, but lived most of his life in Winter Haven. He worked in retail management and was of the Lutheran faith. Kenneth spent 10 years in the U.S. Army Reserves as a drill sergeant. He loved his Chicago Sports, especially the Cubs, but there is nothing he loved more than spending time with his grandchildren. He was a devoted father, grandfather, and, husband to his wife of 51 years.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, James and Loraine Alfredson. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Alfredson, children, Tim Alfredson (Rebecca), Erik Alfredson (Valerie), and Beth Altman (Kenneth), sister, Kathy Richey, grandchildren: Hannah Alfredson, Caleb Alfredson, Rachel Alfredson, Xander Altman, Abigail Alfredson, Jaxon Altman, Paisley Alfredson, Maddox Altman, Maryanne Mohammad, Angelie Arias, and Nicholas Taylor.
A visitation will be held Saturday, August 12, 2023, from 1-2 with a service following at 2 p.m. Both will be held at Ott-Laughlin Funeral Home in Auburndale, Florida.
