Auburndale- Louie Gene Walker Sr, age 81, of Auburndale, FL died May 11, 2012 due to heart failure. He was born September 21, 1930 in Bethel, TN the son of Erskin H. Walker Sr.and Josephine Hogue Walker. He was a retired US Navy Veteran with the rank of Petty Officer E-4. One of his passions was watching John Wayne movies. In addition to his parents, Louie was preceded in death by his son: Louie Gene Walker, Jr. brothers: Woodrow Walker and Grady Walker and sisters Blondena Morris and Geraldine Gaines. He is survived by his sons: Steve Walker and Kenny Walker, daughters: Brenda Walker and Karyn Walker, brothers: Erskin Walker, Jr. and Robert Walker, sister: Evalina Turner, eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
Funeral Services are Friday at 3 pm at Ott-laughlin Funeral Home @ Glen Abbey with visitation one hour before.
Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
