Edward married Peggy Clark in 1960. He retired from the Navy as an Electrician after 23 years of service. He then retired from thermal ceramics. Edward was known for his love of eating and many memories were made while dining out around the table.
Edward is survived by three children, Tina Norman, Ed Carey and Peggy (Paul) McGahee; one sister, Evelyn Kitchens; eight grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; numerous great great-grandchildren; his kitty, Mia and his caregiver, Wendy Fore.
He is predeceased by his loving wife, Peggy and two children, Patricia Matthews and David Ashley.
A visitation will be held at Elliott Sons funeral home - Lumpkin Road on Saturday, March 20, 2021 from 5-7pm.
