Mr. Edwards served his country in the United States Army for 23 years, after retirement he worked as a maintenance supervisor. He was a member of Lumpkin Road Baptist Church.
Mr. Edwards was preceded in death by son; Kenneth Edwards.
Survivors include wife, Eddis Edwards; daughters, Yvette Rewis (Bobby), Diane Donoven (Nancy), and Joan Cooper (Skip); grandchildren, Chasitty, CJ, Cristy, Lee, Cheryl, Jon, Liz, Joshua, Amanda G, Amanda D, Keith, Ashley, and Kendall; and 17 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 6pm – 8pm Monday June 22, 2015 at Elliott Sons Funeral Home 2524 Lumpkin Road, Augusta, GA 30906.
Services will be held 2 pm Tuesday June 23, 2015 at Lumpkin Road Baptist Church 2540 Lumpkin Rd, Augusta, GA 30906. Graveside services will follow at Bellevue Memorial Gardens 4501 Wrightsboro Road, Grovetown, GA 30813.
