

Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 19, 2012 at 11am at Elliott Sons Funeral Home, Lumpkin Road Chapel. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Bryan Wasden, Phillip Wasden, Cole Wasden, Christian Wasden, Parish Farrow, Jr., and Nick Guy.
Born in Jefferson County GA, he was the son of the late Julius and Ila Wasden. He was a member of Glenn Hills Baptist Church. James worked at Marbut Milling Co on Broad Street until it closed and then went to Federal Paper where he retired after seventeen years of service. He loved to fish, work in his garden, and go to the mountains. While in the mountains he enjoyed cooking by the stream. His most precious time was spent with family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Jeanette Wasden. James is survived by his daughter, Jena (Parish) Farrow of Augusta, GA; sons, Doug (Brenda) Wasden of Hephzibah, GA and Brad (Penny) Wasden of N. Augusta, SC; grandchildren, Bryan Wasden, Phillip Wasden, Kadie Wasden, Cole Wasden, Madelyn Wasden, Christian Wasden, Elisia McDonald, Jennifer Farrow, and Parish Farrow, Jr.; great grandchildren, Bryanna Wasden, Joanna Wasden, Shelby Farrow, and Brooklyn Guy.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, March 18, 2012 from 7-9pm.
