AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mr. John C. Andrews, 73, of Augusta, Georgia passed away Monday, November 14, 2011. Como worked for Colonial Baking Company for over 40 years. He was a dedicated family man who enjoyed spending time with his family. He enjoyed the outdoors and fishing. Como was also known as a charitable man, helping anyone in need. Mr. Andrews is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Dianne Andrews. He is survived by his son, John Andrews (Heide); daughter, Janet McElveen-Elrod (Randy); son, Scott McElveen; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sister, Betty Andrews Black (Kester); and two brothers, B. Norman Andrews and Warren C. Andrews (Cleyta). The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 5 - 7 at the funeral home. Memorial services will be held 11 AM, Thursday, November 17, 2011 in the Lumpkin Road Chapel of Elliott Sons Funeral Home. Interment will be private.
