A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, November 9, 2013 at 11am at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Interment will take place at a later date in Puerto Rico.
Julio lived in various cities and countries before retiring to Hephzibah in 1992. He retired from the US Army after 26 years of service. Julio enjoyed electronics, astronomy, mechanics, history, collecting guns, scuba diving, and playing various musical instruments.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Julio Rosa SanJurJo, Blanca Torres Buitrago, son, Ricardo Emilio Rosa, brother, Jose Enrique Rosa. He is survived by his wife, Maria Antonia Rosa Arroyo, children, Mario (Rebecca) Rosa, Cassandra (Alex) Rosa, Carlos Alberto Rosa Leon, Hector Orlando Rosa Leon, brothers, Julio Rosa, Dario Rosa, sisters, Lucy Rosa, Lucy Machin, grandchildren, Arielle A. Rosa, Ricardo J. Rosa, Isabella A. Rosa, Lorenzo E. Rosa, Ian C. Rosa Cruz, and 4 great grandchildren.
