Lillian B. Greene

Augusta, GA- Lillian Timmerman Greene “Sister”, 88, entered into rest on Thursday, December 20, 2012 at her residence. She was a faithful woman of God who served her Lord well. Lillian was an active member at Hillcrest Baptist Church where she was a member of the Choir and the Willing Worker’s Sunday School Class. She enjoyed gardening, dancing, and especially reading her Bible. Lillian was a loving and compassionate mother, Nana, sister, aunt, and friend. She was preceded in death by her parents, John F. and Lillian B. Timmerman, sister, Virginia T. Lee, son, William F “Butch” Greene, brothers, Ernest and James Timmerman, and niece, Dolores Timmerman.

Lillian is survived by her daughter, Ginger G. (Danny) Kitchens of Augusta; daughter-in-law, Anna Greene; brother-in-law, Jack Lee; brother, W.F. “Dub” (Billie) Timmerman of Harlem, GA; grandchildren, Gloria (Tim) DiVincenzo, Lisa Greene, Adam (Nicole) Blackstone, and Karen Greene (Jim) Hicks; 7 great grandchildren including one very special great granddaughter, Ashley Haakinson, who helped care for her Nana; adopted sister, Hellen Shiver; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 12 noon Monday, December 24, 2012 at Elliott Sons Funeral Home Lumpkin Road Chapel with Dr. Gordon Roberson officiating. Interment will follow at Westview Cemetery in Augusta, GA. Pallbearers will be Adam Blackstone, Glenn Lee, Sr., Glenn Lee, Jr., Ray Conner, Jr., Roger Timmerman, and Michael Holton III. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Willing Workers Sunday School Class.

The family will receive friends Sunday, December 23, 2012 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the funeral home.

The family will like to give a special Thanks to Heartland Hospice, and especially, Miss Sarah, our Angel on Earth.
